Gnomeregan, a level 29 to 34 dungeon in World of Warcraft Classic, is located in Dun Morogh, west of Ironforge. Once the capital of the Gnome race, it became uninhabitable after the Gnomes used a radiation bomb in an attempt to clear out a trogg invasion. Despite its proximity to an Alliance capital, the dungeon features quests for both Alliance and Horde players. Completing the dungeon takes around two hours. In Season of Discovery, Gnomeregan transforms into a 10-player raid for level 40 players.
Location and How to Get There
The entrance to Gnomeregan is in the northwest of Dun Morogh. You'll know you're in the right place when you see irradiated, green troggs.
For Alliance players: The closest flight path is Ironforge.
For Horde players:
- Go to the Engineering shop in Orgrimmar and speak to Sovik.
- Accept the quest "Chief Engineer Scooty" at level 20.
- Travel to Ratchet and take the boat to Booty Bay.
- Find Scooty along the docks, on the lower floor close to the inn.
- Speak to Scooty, complete the quest, and its follow-up "Gnomer-gooooone!" to be transported to Gnomeregan using the Goblin Transponder.
To find the raid entrance, take the elevator from Dun Morogh down into Gnomeregan. Follow the path and take a left turn to find the dungeon entrance. Teleporter users should exit the room and head down the western path.
Venturing into Gnomeregan, especially in Season of Discovery, requires preparation, not just in terms of gear and strategy but also in acquiring necessary consumables. Savvy players often look for ways to optimize their experience, and one common method involves managing their WoW Gold Classic. Whether it's purchasing potions, reagents, or even better equipment from other players, having a healthy supply of gold can make the dungeon significantly easier. As Gnomeregan is a raid in Season of Discovery, the demand for items will continue to rise.
Moreover, the time investment required for Gnomeregan runs, especially with a group, makes efficient gameplay crucial. Some players choose to invest in WoW Gold to bypass the grind and directly purchase powerful items or crafting materials, thus saving time and enhancing their character's capabilities. While the dungeon offers valuable loot, acquiring WoW Gold can often be a more reliable way to ensure you're well-equipped for the challenges that Mekgineer Thermaplugg and his minions present. The improved gear will make it easier to clear this raid, whether it's your first or tenth attempt.
Layout and Boss Locations
Gnomeregan's layout can be tricky to navigate. Upon entering, follow the tunnel until you reach an open room below. Don't jump down immediately. Head to the left to trigger the event that spawns Grubbis with Blastmaster Emi Shortfuse. Once Grubbis is defeated, double back and jump down into the room below to fight Viscous Fallout.
Follow the western tunnel to Electrocutioner 6000, then head southwest to Crowd Pummeler 9-60 via a narrow tunnel heading south from the main tunnel. Retrace your steps to the original tunnel to reach the final boss, Mekgineer Thermaplugg.
Boss Locations:
- Grubbis: Emerges within the cave confrontation.
- Viscous Fallout: Located on the lower level of the Hall of Gears.
- Electrocutioner 6000: Positioned at the heart of the upper zone in the Launch Bay.
- Crowd Pummeler 9-60: Resides in the upper reaches of the Engineering Labs.
- Mechanical Menagerie: Encountered within the final tunnel.
- Mekgineer Thermaplugg: Located at the center of the Tinkers’ Court.
Before entering Gnomeregan, it is recommended to acquire all related dungeon quests.
